Acute Fruit Energy Drink is a 100% fruit juice energy drink that is promoted as delivering natural energy with no crash or preservatives.

It comes in 5 flavors; Orange Passion Fruit, Tangerine Apple, Strawberry Guava, Mixed Berry Kiwi, and Tropical Blast.

We Tried Strawberry Guava

Strawberry Guava had a nice flavor but was a little too sweet for my liking. However, all of the Acute's sugar content is coming from juice concentrate, so this is much better than drinks sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. The drink is non-carbonated and easy to drink.

There's A Lot in Acute Fruit Energy Drink

This drink is packed with energy ingredients and antioxidants!

It contains Taurine, Yerba Mate, Guarana, Rooibos, and Ginko. They also include vitamins B3, B6, B5, B12, C, and E. The drink claims that it has plenty of antioxidants and adaptogens. There's a new one.

What are adaptogens? According to Wikipedia they are herbs that reduce a cell's sensitivity to stress. However, there is much debate as to whether such properties actually exist. If the can is correct there's over 200 mg of caffeine in a 15.5oz. can, so it packs a pretty solid punch.

Acute Energy Drink is certainly not lacking in the caffeine department like many juice based drinks. The can lists 110mg/8oz. Overall, not a bad energy drink at all. If you see one try it out. I found mine at Grocery Outlet, so it was less than $1!
