Black Insomnia Coffee is a brand of coffee from South Africa, who now claim to have the "world's strongest cup of coffee".

Formerly, Death Wish Coffee held on to that claim but independent lab tests confirmed that Black Insomnia has 6.35% more caffeine than Death Wish.

A 12 fl oz cup of Death Wish averages around 660 mg while the same amount of Black Insomnia Coffee averages around 702 mg.

Like its competitor, Black Insomnia uses robusta coffee beans but has sourced robusta beans that have the highest levels of caffeine.

This coffee should be used with caution and only by people who have a high tolerance to caffeine. Just one 12 fl oz cup is almost double the recommended safe daily dose of caffeine the average adult should consume.

Although this brand started in South Africa, it will be available in the US, Europe, and Australia soon.
