Milo by Nestle is a hot, lightly chocolate flavored beverage that has trace levels of caffeine per recommended serving because of the cocoa in Milo. The drink is made by mixing a dry powder with milk (or hot water and milk).

It does have very small amounts of caffeine in it (even though it is NOT a coffee-based drink).

There are various formulations, including a ready-to-drink version, powder, breakfast cereals and snacks.

The amounts above are for a 20 g serving of dry powder mixed into a cup of water. The addition of milk will greatly increase calories.

Nestle states that there is 2.2-4.8 mg of caffeine per 20 grams of Milo powder, which is the recommended serving to make a cup of Milo. So the average figure is 3.5 mg caffeine. The caffeine comes from the cocoa powder.

The amount of caffeine listed above reflects the average amount that could be expected in a serving.
