Reize Energy Drink is a powdered energy drink mix from Australia.

Each 4-gram sachet is directed to be added to 250 ml of water to create an effervescent energy drink.

In 2018 Reize ended trading.

The company  sent us some samples of Reize for review.

Reize Energy Drink Review

I've sampled quite a few energy drink mixes during my tenure at Caffeine Informer, so I was anxious to see if Reize would bring anything different to the table.

Taste

I liked the fact that Reize dissolves pretty easily in cold water because of the effervescent action of the powder. This is one thing I've never liked about energy drink mixes and Reize seems to have solved this.

Reize has a nice fizzy taste but the flavor is a bit hard to pinpoint. It's kind of like a fruity cola flavor. I can't say I've ever tasted an energy drink like it, so that's another plus for this product.

Reize is a little on the sweet side for me when mixed as directed, but the drink could be diluted to the user's preference.

Ingredients/ Effect

You'll mostly find the typical energy drink ingredients in Reize like caffeine, taurine, B vitamins, inositol, and ginseng.

On their website, they list sodium bicarbonate or baking soda as an active energy ingredient. This is used to make it effervesce, but I've never seen it listed as an energy ingredient in any other drink so it looks like another first for Reize.

The drink is artificially sweetened with Acesulphame Potassium and Aspartame.

Since Reize contains just 50 mg of caffeine per sachet, it's much more customizable than most other energy drinks that usually offer a  much higher amount of caffeine per packet.

I like that if I need a small pick-me-up, one sachet will suffice, but if I need a bigger dose I can mix in two sachets and so on.

The downside is that Reize isn't giving the consumer as much bang for their buck as other energy drinks or energy drink mixes do.  To equal the caffeine of a Monster, you would need 3 sachets to get you close. At $1.50 AUD per sachet (their most expensive option) this would equate to $4.50 AUD which is more than what a Monster would cost.

However, Reize does offer the advantage of being more portable. Overall, this is a good product and a nice addition to the energy product line-up in Australia.

Reize Energy Drink isn't suitable for children or those sensitive to caffeine.
