I always appreciate it when companies are trying to bring something new and innovative to the energy shot category. I've tried so many 5 Hour Energy copycats that it isn't even funny! It was obvious that Balance was going to be different from the very start.
Flavor
Both the Energy and Active shots offer a highly concentrated blend of superfood and juice concentrates to create a rich shot that has a somewhat thick mouthfeel. The 37-42% juice respectively gives each shot a sweet taste that is enjoyable to drink.
The Active Shot is a tad sweeter and has a blueberry flavor while the Energy Shot is less sweet and has a cherry flavor.

Effect
I really liked the lift I experienced from both shots. Even the Energy Shot was not overpowering and didn't make me jittery or wired. It was a calm lift in alertness, motivation, and mood.
I also liked that I was putting something good into my body. Along with the caffeine I was consuming something beneficial to my body's function. This is a definite plus.
As a fitness nutrition expert, I would definitely recommend Balance Energy Shot as a great pre-workout supplement.
