Equip Pure Energy Review
First of all, Equip is different than other shots right out of the gate because it isn't a complete liquid but a fruit puree. It's similar to an energy gel but much healthier since it's made with real fruit and no added sugars or artificial sweeteners.
Taste
Equip has a nice tropical flavor using banana, pineapple, and mango purees/juices. It's not overly sweet since there isn't any added sugar. There's a slight bitterness from the caffeine, but it isn't unpleasant or distracting.
Ingredients and Effect
The basic ingredient list in Equip Pure Energy is pretty simple. Just fruit purees and other natural ingredients along with AmaTea® (a brand of guayusa extract) as well as some B vitamins.
Beyond that, Equip shots can be customized based on your vitamin and supplement preferences. I was also sent the Immunity Defense formulation that has 150 mg of caffeine, a plethora of vitamins and minerals, and elderberry juice.
Guayusa is a great caffeine source because guayusa leaves are pretty nutritious and deliver a nice dose of polyphenols as well as caffeine.
The effect is what's expected from 100 mg and 150 mg of caffeine but the alertness that I experienced was a calm alertness. There was no jitteriness, increased heartbeat, or crash.
Overall Equip is a solid energy shot product that I can feel good about using whenever I need a healthy lift.
