Java Gum is a caffeinated gum that promises to wake consumers up 5x faster than coffee or energy shots.

This caffeinated gum is available in two flavors; Peppermint and Spearmint and is sugar free.

We were sent some free samples of Java Gum recently.

While the flavor of Java Gum isn't comparable to traditional mint gum, the effect is faster than drinking coffee or an energy drink.

After about 20 minutes, the gum isn't very enjoyable to chew, but by then all of the caffeine should be extracted.

Java Gum claims that one pack equals 8 coffees or energy shots. This is highly inaccurate. Each piece of Java Gum contains 65mg of caffeine, but an average cup of brewed coffee is 108mg with drip coffee being 145mg/8 fl.oz..

Also, most energy shots are well over 100mg of caffeine per 2 fl.oz. bottle. With a name like Java Gum, one would expect it to contain natural caffeine from coffee or green coffee extract, but in reality they just use caffeine anhydrous.

Warning: A whole pack of Java Gum would contain 520mg of caffeine, so this product should be kept out of the reach of children.
