Jiva Review
For whatever reason, there has been a recent surge in instant coffee products and Jiva is yet another brand bidding for some market share. I like a good instant coffee if I'm off on an adventure that makes brewing coffee traditionally a logistical challenge. So, a good instant coffee product is a perfect way to continue my morning ritual without all the gear.
Taste: Jiva is a single origin Colombian coffee and it has a smooth yet slightly citrusy flavor like most single origin coffee do. I tried some both black and with a little sugar/milk. Both preparations offered an enjoyable instant coffee to sip.
Intensity: A packet of Jiva has around 120 mg of caffeine which is a decent amount for an instant coffee. Generally, it ranges between 50-80 mg per serving. I appreciate this since it puts me closer to my typical double shot espresso-based coffee.
Overall, Jiva makes a nice instant coffee product that is a great substitute for freshly brewed coffee.
