Peak Energy Mints are naturally and artificially flavored, almost sugar-free mints manufactured by ZIP Foods.

They blend caffeine and D-Ribose as active ingredients along with an assortment of B vitamins.

Flavors of Peak Energy Mints

  1. Original Mint
  2. Fresh Mint
  3. Orange Cream

The D-Ribose is meant to act as a buffer against the caffeine crash that some experience when the caffeine dose begins to wear off.

ZIPP Foods recently sent some samples of their Fresh Mint variety to try out.

Peak Mints Review

I consumed one peak mint as directed, but during two different scenarios:

  • Before my weight training session at the gym.
  • In place of my second cup of coffee while working.

Peak Mints are pretty enjoyable to consume if you like strongly flavored mints. They have a great flavor and dissolve rather quickly.

In both cases, I could feel the effects of Peak in about 10 minutes and these effects lasted about 2 hours.

I experienced a noticeable lift that helped with my gym session and with my work, but didn't experience a caffeine crash after the two hours. Instead, just a lesser degree of alertness and motivation.

D-Ribose has been found to be extremely helpful among those with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia in producing more energy and a better state of mind, so it seems to be a great additive for an energy product as well.

We want to stress that Peak Energy Mints are not candy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Consumers should take no more than 4 mints in a 24 hour period or less if other caffeinated products are being consumed to stay within the daily safe dose range
