Zenergy Gum Review
I've sampled many energy gums over the years and the early alliterations were pretty bad. Luckily, this market segment has evolved over the years and the new caffeine chewing gums have been a lot more enjoyable to chew. I was curious to see if Zenergy lived up to that trend.
Zenergy Gum's Flavor
Zenergy is mint flavored and I would describe it as a blend of peppermint and menthol. It's pretty bold which I like and I couldn't taste the bitterness of the caffeine which I like even more.
It's moderately sweet and pretty inline with traditional mint chewing gums. The only big difference that I notice is that when you first start chewing Zenergy, the texture is crumbly, but then quickly becomes soft and chewy as it mixes with your mouth's saliva.
Overall, Zenergy is a great tasing energy gum and the flavor lasts for quite a while.
Zenergy Gum's Function
The effects from the 50 mg of caffeine are felt pretty quickly since some of the caffeine is entering the bloodstream through your mouth. It's a nice gentle lift, nothing too crazy but definitely noticable.
I like caffeine gum as a way to give my workouts a little boost as well as keep my mouth moist during my lifting sessions. Zenergy is perfect for this. Just enough caffeine to help me squeeze out a few more reps, but not too much that my heart rate increases too much during those lifts.
Each pack of Zenergy Caffeine Gum has 8 pieces for a total caffeine amount of 400 mg per pack. It's probably not a great idea to consume all 8 pieces at once and if you do consume Zenergy, consider the caffeine you're getting from other sources as well.
Overall, Zenergy is a solid caffeinated chewing gum product in both its flavor and its effect.
