Rip It Power: Energy for Less
Is this the drink for you? It very well may be.
Do you have a dish to keep your spare change in?
When you go grocery shopping, do you move from one eye-catching “price drop” sign to the next?
Did your momma tell you to shop around?
Do you obey your momma?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, salvation awaits you in a can. Starting at $1.09, the extensive Rip-It line is value incarnate and this one is quite possibly the star of them all.
Like all Rip-Its, the taste of this drink copies no one. It is wholly unique and simply tastes great. I cannot liken the taste to any berry I know of and light carbonation ensures a smooth experience. The taste is best described as being wholesome and sweet. It goes down effortlessly and the door doesn’t hit you on the way out. I want to remind you before what I say next that taste preference is highly subjective. In all honesty, this is one of my top 5 best tasting energy drinks of all time.
Who said you get what you pay for? This drink is like the Nissan GT-R of sports cars. It has everything that even the most expensive top-dogs have and does it better at a shocking price point. Vitamins B and C a-plenty? Check. Taurine? Guarana? Caffeine? Check, check ,check. In fact, this drink harbors 160mg of caffeine.
Let me put this into perspective for you. For $1.09 you get 160mg of caffeine in 16 ounces of yummyness (go away MS Word spell checker, don’t you have something better to do than punish creativity?). I challenge you to find a better way to get your energy fix, coffee possibilities included. It’s not easy. This can may look normal in the cooler amongst the rest of the competition, but trust me it’s as rare as it gets.
Don’t expect a serious jolt of energy from this drink. This drink is more of a modest pick-me-up/recreational beverage hybrid. It costs the same as a regular soda, often times less in fact and in that respect has serious value in the energy department. 160mg will certainly get you moving, just not as much as the other big drinks out there such as NOS. If you need serious energy, look elsewhere.
Red Bull is no doubt a leader in the energy drink market these days due to their pioneer status and deep pockets. This drink, if anything though, should be a wake-up call to everyone to realize that nothing justifies the high energy drink prices of today. The entire Rip-It collection (it’s huge, likely the most extensive of them all) proves that energy drinks need not be so inexplicably expensive. Rip-It Power specifically demonstrates that you won’t be making any compromises, either.
