7 Select Coffee Energy Review
The company recently sent us some samples of their Coffee Energy Shots for review.
I'm a fan of coffee and it's my preferred way to consume caffeine. I was intrigued as to how these shots would fair in light of my love for coffee.
Flavor
Here's how each of the three flavors tasted.
French Vanilla: Of the three varieties, this was my favorite. I liked the strong coffee flavor with the smoothness of the added vanilla. I don't drink my coffee sweet, so my only complaint was the very sweet taste this and the other three shots have.
Toasted Coconut: This was my second favorite and the toasted coconut flavor was a nice compliment to the coffee.
Mocha: This one didn't do it for me. Since these shots are milk-free there was nothing to smooth out the bitterness of the coffee and the cocoa.
Energy Ingredients
Along with the 150 mg of natural caffeine from the cold brew coffee, 7 Select Coffee Shots also contain the following supplements:
- Vitamin C: 25% RDA
- Vitamin B6: 200% RDA
- Folic Acid: 5% RDA
- Vitamin B12: 100% RDA
- Pantothenic Acid: 100% RDA
Effect
The 150 mg of caffeine did a nice job of helping me to feel more alert and motivated for my late morning tasks and is similar in caffeine to my normal double-shot latte.
However, since it's a concentrated shot, Coffee Energy can be consumed much quicker and thus the effects are felt much quicker than typical coffee.
Overall, 7 Select Coffee Energy Shots are a good alternative to the fruity shots on the market and will appeal to coffee drinkers, especially coffee drinkers who like their coffee on the sweet side.
